Letter Template Asking For A List Of Charges

Replace the information in red with brackets with your own personal details before sending this letter to your credit card provider.

I am writing to request that you, [Insert the name of your credit card provider], provide me with details of all the charges I have paid on my credit card account during the past six years relating to me exceeding my credit card limit, failing to pay on time or failing to honour a payment.

Please find enclosed a cheque for £10 which is the maximum statory charge. If you are unable to provide this information I am happy to accept a copy of my statements for the past 6 years. I understand that statements are not covered by the Data Protection Act 1998, But I am not requesting the statements per se, but the charges of which I am entitled to by law.

I understand that under the Data Protection Act 1998 you ([Insert the name of your credit card provider]) are required to make this information available to me.

I look forward to receiving a response from you within the next 40 days.
